Riddell’s Latest Innovation in Protection – The Riddell Revolution Speed Helmet – Gains Momentum at Top Division I Football Programs

Why Wont riddell just put the S2EG-SW-SP face mask model out for public sale? EVERYBODY wants it but noboDy wants to go through process of calling the inside sales.

We do offer the S2EG-SW-SP to the public. We simply do not offer it online. The reason we do not offer it online is because of its long lead time. We do not stock the item and it can take several weeks to arrive to the customer. This is not typical for online purchases. instead of not offering the s2eg-sw-sp face mask online because of the long lead time why cant you guys just tell the buyer that this face mask has a longer lead time than all the others
Jaylan, that is an idea we have tried but in our experiences people tend to forget, or never read such notifications. We would end up fielding many unnecessary customer service calls and people would become very upset when they learn those types of face masks are also non-returnable. People tend to remember such things when they call in and talk with someone.

Riddell offers the most popular styles to the public due to the needs of certain positions. All other designs are not made in bulk which is why we don’t make them widely available due to long production times and increased price points. The Bradshow image you provided displays a customized version of the S2EG-SW-SP. This customization is not available to the public. Such customizations are only offered to D1 and Professional players due to various business arrangements we have with their departments or institutions.

It is a facemask that most linemen wear. It comes down below the chin, and features a bull ring. I remember that the designation was 3 something

That is a customized version of the S2EG-LW. This model is not available to the public. The only difference is the middle bar along the grill in front of the teeth. The S2EG-LW has two bars, this has three.
well i had ordered a facemask that was supposed to have only 2 bars in the middle but has 3, reccomend you dont get it because if you are ages 0-16 than it will not fit you, i am 12 and it drops down to my chin so dont get it.

The link you provided isn’t working.For the Revolution Speed helmet we only offer face mask styles like you describe as customization features that only the pros and division one athletes have the privilege of doing. Our Revolution helmet has a g-bar face mask model called G2BN which has a center vertical bar, but that obviously only fits on the Revolution Shell helmets.

All s-bar models fit on both youth and varsity helmets. The shell shapes are identical, it’s what’s inside the helmets that makes the difference between youth and varsity.

Kobie, the new Riddell helmet is called the Riddell 360. It will only be available for varsity in Large this spring. More sizes will follow at a to-be-determined date. As far as being better than the Speed, better is a relative term but we definitely wouldn’t come out with a helmet if we didn’t think it was an improvement :)

This looks like a customized version of the S2EG-SW-SP specialty model, s-bar face mask. The standard version does not have a third bar along the grill like this one does. Custom face masks are only available to the pros and D1 schools. For more information please call 800-275-5338 Ext. 5. They can process all specialty model face masks.

Specialty model face masks are not kept in stock. This means they take a lot longer to provide to the customer. Typical to most e-commerce shops, products are expected to ship shortly after the order is placed. We cannot provide this service for specialty model masks so we omitted them from the web shop to avoid customer frustration. Ryan, based on this picture we can tell you that it is either a Revolution Speed or Revolution Speed Classic. It is hard to tell what type of liner is inside the helmet based on this picture alone. We have 6 different helmets that utilize this same shell and face mask system. Each helmet has a different liner system. We know that no NFL player is wearing any of the youth helmets and we doubt he is wearing a helmet with the HITS system inside. Based on all of this he is most likely wearing a Revolution Speed or Revolution Speed Classic helmet.

Me bought my son a speed helmet 3 years ago for for Youth football. He is now going into high school, but was told it is not SANCTIONED for high school football. Is this true? It is a much better helmet that our high school has, so i would love for him to be able to continue using it.

William, face masks are universal. All of our face masks will fit on youth models too.
However, if you happen to be referring to the XXS <a href="/shop-riddell/helmet/revolution-attack-youth-helmet/ Revolution Attack helmet, only one face mask will fit that helmet due to it’s extremely small shell. That face mask is the S2BD-LW-V (Small). part number R94924LW-V.

Can I put the revo speed overliner in a revo eDge?
Ronnie, we do not recommend this. The Revolution Edge liner was not designed or intended to function with an Overliner. The fit, and level of protection could be compromised by adding in parts that the helmet was not designed to have. If you wish to have an Overliner, we suggest purchasing the Revolution Speed Youth. Since the shells are the same, you could technically just buy a replacement liner system, but that is also not cheap.
