Riddell’s most advanced youth helmet we’ve ever engineered.
The Flex System absorbs impact at the shell, face mask, and attachment points—delivering next-level protection where it matters most. Youth players aren’t just smaller—they’re still developing. The SpeedFlex ND6 is purpose-built to manage impact and deliver a secure, consistent feel, giving young athletes protection that matches how they play.
Ideal For: Youth Players through Junior High School
Key Features:
-
Advanced Energy Management Materials: The helmet's liner system uses an enhanced urethane formula co-developed with BASF to optimize protective performance and manage impact energy more effectively.
-
The Flex System: Proprietary flexibility is engineered into the helmet's shell, face mask, and face mask attachment system with hinge clips. This design reduces the transfer of impact force to the athlete's head and neck—a critical advancement for youth players still developing physically.

CAM•LOC™ Retention System: Developed with elite player feedback, this chin strap attachment system is engineered for quick, efficient adjustments. No struggling with fit—just easy, reliable security.

Riddell has been the long-standing leader in football head protection and protective athletic equipment for more than 90 years, and we’re just getting started.
ND6 STANDARD CERTIFICATION
NOCSAE established the first-ever performance standard specifically for youth football helmets, addressing the unique risk exposures younger players face. All Riddell ND6 helmets produced for the 2026 season meet these new standards ahead of the September 1, 2027 effective date. This means you're getting a helmet designed and tested with youth safety as the priority—not adapted from adult specifications.
